TAROT READING

Tarot has become a commonly used tool in various spiritual practices and also for fortune telling. One of the most popular and widely used tarot decks to this day is the Rider-Waite-Smith deck. The Rider-Waite-Smith deck consists of a total of 78 cards, which are divided equally between the Major Arcana and the Minor Arcana. The Major Arcana is the part that often becomes the center of attention in tarot readings, and is sometimes referred to as Trump cards. There are 22 cards in the Major Arcana, each having distinct images and symbols and representing various aspects of human life, including physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual aspects.

Each card in the Major Arcana has a deep meaning and can provide insight into various situations in a person's life. They reflect the strengths, hopes, fears, weaknesses, as well as the bright and dark sides of human life. For example, "The Fool" card represents the beginning of a spiritual journey or adventure, while "The Tower" card can indicate sudden change or destruction in someone's life.

While the Major Arcana might get more attention, the Minor Arcana also plays an important role in tarot readings. Consisting of 56 cards, the Minor Arcana is often related to daily details and more concrete situations in a person's life. They include four groups of cards: Wands, Swords, Cups, and Pentacles/Coins, each representing different elements such as Fire, Air, Water, and Earth.

The use of tarot to predict the future or provide spiritual insight often involves the process of reading cards. This process involves shuffling and drawing cards randomly, then interpreting the cards that appear in the context of the question or situation presented by the reader or client.

However, it is important to remember that tarot is not a deterministic tool. Instead, tarot is more of a tool for reflection, introspection, and helping someone understand various factors that might influence their life. The interpretation of tarot cards depends heavily on the reader's experience, intuition, and personal understanding.

In addition to being used to read the future or provide spiritual insight, tarot can also be used as a tool for meditation or contemplation. Many people use tarot cards to ponder important questions in their lives or to seek inspiration and a deeper understanding of themselves.

In tarot practice, it is also important to understand that cards never stand alone, but always interact with each other in a spread or card layout. The relationship between these cards can also provide additional and deep nuances to the reading.
